"We can have a better tommorrow by re-educating women today"
This is it...the opportunity ....the final epic...of unheard cries, painful moments of enduring in silent tears.....calling women who have been abused, misused and hurt in any manner to find justice and to be heard. Dr. Melva Dorsey has been given this vision to help sustain justice for abused women everywhere. God has called her to let the world in on the secrets, the testimonies and the resilience of the daughters of the King. Dr. Melva Dorsey would like to offer you an opportunity to be a part of our loving support group of women who have been abused. This is an opened call to women who have endured the pain of abuse sexually, emotionally, physically and spiritually to come to arms. Come and join the women who have decided to become witnesses instead of a victims of their experiences. Come and listen to the hearts of freedom speaking from the mouths of truth; women who have suffered and whose cries have never been heard until now! This is our story and our victory and God will prevail; we will release forgiveness, healing and deliverance. Our meeting will help to change the lives of women everywhere and empower them to take a STAND against abuse! We believe that God has never forgotten his daughters and neither will you. Opened hearts will reveal the remarkable blessing of honesty. We stand in the manfested glory of the Lord to dismantle self defeat in the Name of Jesus. Be a witness as God brings the light to the world by his chosen vessels to expose the dark and wicked works we have endured. We serve an awesome purpose by telling our stories; freedom rings in our voices. ISSUES OF OUR HEARTS began as a women support group and has now grown to impact the world through our documentary "ISSUES OF OUR HEARTS". WHAT ABOUT ME? PROJECT
"We can have a better tommorrow by re-educating women today"
"Just listen to the cries of our society it is a cry of painful experiences shared by many who find they lack and slack basic needs emotionally, physically, financially, environmentally and spiritually. These needs left unmet are the same for most of us resulting in feelings of being abandoned, misunderstood, misused, left behind, attacked, abused and in great pain. We all desire to be freed from what happened to us back then and may not know the original of the pain we are in right now; we need freedom from these bondages no matter what fetter trapped us. As for me I was once a victim of child molestation which wounded me in an unfathomed way, and I spent years of my life outside of reality looking in; my outside manifested itself in low self esteem, self destruction and shame. For years I leaned into the victimization of feeling unworthy except for another painful moment. That was then and this is now and because I learned a new way to live, I have embraced all my experiences which equal who I am right here right now. I proclaim that I am no longer a victim but a victor. I no longer cry out in pain but I hear the painful cries of other women whose experiences have left them broken, battered, bankrupt and missing out of action as their families deteriorate without them. I realized the purpose of my existence was never left behind, abandoned, mistreated, or abused but because of it not in spite of it I was being prepared to help others to realize their purpose.I have been forgotten to remember the forgotten, I have been afraid and in bondage to proclaim liberty to those women who are opressed and too afraid to let go of what’s hurting them. It's because of every painful moment that I endured I serve others with compassion and without judgment; it’s because I have been there and done it; that I can do it for others. I’ve dedicated myself to the development of all people but especially women into their highest achievement possible. While counseling women in Residential Treatment Centers for substance abuse I observed a paradox; that even though these women were not using substance any longer they were still in great pain; and not suffering from a moral deficiency; but from the discomfort of hidden issues they acted out in a self destructive lifestyle. A pattern emerged from these women whose cries of pain are similar in nature to your own. I discovered that something was stolen away from each woman who had suffered from an unmet need whether it was spiritually, mentally, emotionally, financially, physically, environmentally or sexually it’s all very painful. I have been inspired to take action in an attempt to reverse the curses that had settle into their very psyche; depriving them of the quality of life needed to build a legacy of prosperity and healthy alternatives. We all have the same desire to rid ourselves of deprivation and live life more abundantly; the only place that it can no longer do us any harm is to place its desperation at the feet of an Almighty God and leave it there and walk away.
LIVING WATERS WORLD MINISTRIES Women Empowerment Association has a strong commitment to empower, educate and encourage women by equipping them with the knowledge of who they are in God’s eyes. We purport to teach each woman self determination; how to address their basic needs and to think of themselves with respect and honor. We believe that each woman has an appointment to achieve a greater purpose and to be loved; no matter what her experiences has been. We love to love and share our good will towards women of all culture and diversities to help them gain confidence and self acceptance. Our support meeting "ISSUES OF OUR HEARTS” women are enabled to express and address their needs and aspirations in a non threatening atmosphere of healing. Each woman is counseled individually and supported in group therapy by other women. We accept women for who they are, where they are and desire only to help guide them in a positive manner. We make referrals for women who need in-house treatment for substance abuse; we offer a 12 step spiritual recovery program for all women; we help women find housing after leaving treatment centers, we network women to work together; we teach parenting, life skills and leadership training. Women Empowerment Association enables us to create a foundation for women to grow in a process of restoration, recovery, renewal and a new life. Our service’s helps to restore the lives of women through, instructional conferences and spiritual retreats. My experiences with women in Residential Treatment Centers inspired me to help them to recover by re-educating them about who they are as women and ladies. I’ve discovered that they were truly bankrupt in all areas of their lives; I saw a need and identified a way to implement it.
I wrote my third book which is an extraordinary interactive Workbook called “WHAT ABOUT ME?” designed to re-educate women about their body basics and functions of their reproductive system. It’s a hands on manual that engages women to learn how to take responsibility for their own personal care. Topics of discussions concerns women as a whole and engage each woman to re-think and redirect the roles she plays in society and in her family. The WAM? Workbook and Presentation is a much needed educational tool designed to enhance the treatment plan already in place for each woman at the agency or setting they reside or participate in. Would you agree that this is an excellent idea and that it will help women, families and our society as a whole? The WAM? Workbook and Presentation exemplifies teaching women to have a positive self image to establish a higher self esteem. Would you say that this is an opportunity to give these women a second chance at life? To know one's self is power! The WAM? Workbook and Presentation taps into the delicate matters that keep women in the dark; re-education is the key to impacting our society with positive and productive females from puberty to menopause. Our WAM? Workbook and Presentation re-builds women's self respect, self awareness and respect for others. It is our belief that simply by knowing proper terms for their body’s women can grow and develop into the knowledge of self acceptance; women will be at ease while speaking to Doctors, and are more likely to make and keep medical appointment that can save their lives. WAM? Workbook and Presentation speaks to women about personal self care and even teaches them to do Breast Self Examinations. The challenges we face in implementing our programs is to reach greater numbers of women by expanding our programs into churches, schools, social centers; we are currently seeking funding to do so.
The implication for the future shows impressive potential as females of all ages learn the details of their body functions; they will make better choices which can help prevent STD’s and unwanted pregnancy. We want to share our vision with you and offer you an opportunity to invite the Women Empowerment Association to your facility for the WAM? Presentation. Take action now and help get the job done to re-educate mothers, sisters, aunts, and females of all ages and cultures everywhere and revive the family. I beseech each you to realize that we all have pain and none is greater than the next; but we can help diminish its effect by believing that “We can make a better tomorrow by re-educating women today. Don't miss this opportunity to make an impact within our community; support our mission to re-educate women and make a donation. Unmet needs are a painful reality and it's our hopes at LIVING WATERS WORLD MINISTRIES Women Empowerment Association that our message will empower you to find the challenges of a new day if confronted and addressed, these cries of painful unmet needs will disappear. “We can have a better tomorrow by re-educating women today”
